From prompt to timeline

AI editing inside Final Cut Pro.

Spellshot connects Claude Code or Codex to Final Cut Pro, so your agent can work directly with your projects.

A faster first pass

Start with a working cut.

Trim dead space, compare multiple takes, and assemble the strongest moments into a timeline.

Stay in control

Agent-assisted. Owned by You.

Let your agent handle repetitive, low-level edits. You direct the creative vision.

How Spellshot works

Direct the work. Refine the result.

Prompt in Spellshot as you would Claude or Codex: review footage, trim dead space, compare takes, assemble a first cut, create graphics, or refine the timeline in Final Cut Pro.

Turbocharge your editing workflow

Add an Agent to Final Cut Pro.

Spellshot helps with selects, assembly, generated assets, and revision passes inside Final Cut Pro.

01

Find the best moments

Search hours of footage with prompts. Spellshot understands what's in your library and surfaces the clips worth using.

  • Search long-form footage with plain-English prompts
  • Surface the strongest takes, hooks, and reactions
  • Assemble timeline-ready selects in a new project
02

Prompt a first cut

Turn a quick prompt, detailed storyboard, or precise time-coded beat sheet into an editable rough cut in Final Cut Pro.

  • From prompt to timeline in minutes
  • Native storylines, connected clips, titles, and transitions
  • Editable cuts, placement, timing, and pacing
03

Generate motion graphics and assets

Built-in motion graphics and generative media tools let your agent create assets directly in your Final Cut Pro library.

  • Kinetic typography and animated titles
  • Infographics, overlays, and custom animations
  • Background music shaped to the edit
04

Refine the timeline

Ask for feedback and revisions with your preferred look carried through automatically.

  • Remembered fonts, colors, and style preferences
  • Caption and formatting passes
  • Pacing, trims, and final polish

Questions, answered.

Does Spellshot replace Final Cut Pro?

No. Spellshot is a workflow extension that runs inside Final Cut Pro. Your libraries, projects, and timelines stay exactly where they are. Spellshot works alongside them.

Does it edit my actual FCP timeline?

Yes. Spellshot works with the project you already have open. For safety, Spellshot agents put proposed edits into new projects in your existing Final Cut Pro library, leaving the original timeline untouched.

Which AI models does Spellshot work with?

Link your existing Claude Code or ChatGPT Codex subscription, or use the built-in Spellshot agent with a paid Spellshot plan.

Can I change everything afterward?

Yes. Spellshot produces regular, editable projects in Final Cut Pro. Re-time it, restyle it, trim it, or throw it away. The timeline is always yours.

Does Spellshot remember how I like to edit?

Yes. Spellshot can carry preferences such as fonts, colors, styling, and repeated instructions into future tasks, so you don’t have to explain the same workflow every time. You can edit the preferences doc within the Files tab of the extension.

Can it generate motion graphics and assets?

Yes. Ask for animated titles, lower thirds, overlays, and visual inserts from the extension panel, and Spellshot generates them and places them in your edit.

Does Spellshot work with MotionVFX?

Yes, with some limitations. Spellshot works best on the core edit before complex MotionVFX layers are added. Some templates don’t expose their parameters reliably, so we recommend adding or fine-tuning those effects after AI-assisted editing.

How do I get in touch?
